What is your favorite part of the traditional Thanksgiving meal?

That tastes like a dessert rather than vegetables!

Since my husband and I made our own dinner we got to pick what we wanted instead of being polite about what the rest of the family might contribute. We had turkey with mushroom dressing, mushroom turkey gravy, green beans almandine, and baked sweet potatoes. We both like the sweet potatoes simple, with just some butter and salt, not all that other crap.

I made key lime pies, but gave one away and froze the other one since I used the egg whites left from the pies to make meringue cookies. Three batches of cookies - one with chocolate mint chips, one with chocolate peanut butter chips and one with chocolate caramel chips. I used those new Nestles chips that have chocolate outer shells and peanut butter or caramel interior - they are GREAT and work really nice with the meringue cookies!
