(11,843 posts)I have no idea why you are so adamantly trying find reasons he is not at fault.
I was incorrect in my previous post his crime started when he started honking and driving toward the people. That is assault the threat of violence. Well before there was anyone jumping on his hood he had committed a crime. Battery commenced once his vehicle touched a person. He has the responsibility of controlling his vehicle.
You seem to be limiting your vision of the whole incident to dragging the woman on the ground which I agree he may not have seen her there but it is a reasonable conclusion that if you plow into a crowd you will eventually run someone over.
I would say that there should be at least 5 if not 10 counts of A&B with a deadly weapon against him. Not to mention leaving the scene of an accident. He deliberately drove into the crowd, honking as he approached, well before your excuses of "being scared shitless" could begin to have ANY relevance. One does not get to throw the first punch, then claim self defense.
He has no excuse whatsoever. He signaled his intent to drive into the crowd then did it and and drove off after hitting many people with his vehicle
