(25,704 posts)17. Not in CA, but when a drought ends it is such a relief.
2012 was horrible in Chicagoland. Yes, the fairways were mostly rocks ( I had a lucky 380 yard drive!) but when the rain finally comes it is a relief .

I don't know about houses sliding, but their have been homes affected by mudslides yes...
