and capitalism is not the only situation under which discrimination occurs. it does under all economic systems.

i think there is this tendency on DU recently to pretend we are blameless but for the extreme elites, but when in comes to issues of bigotry, we are not that blameless.

there are many reasons bigotry occurs, but the top one is a feeling of threat either to our lives or to our livelihoods and we are responsible for systemic bigotry just as much as the elites are.
