(14,733 posts)You can listen to the radio while working on your computer. Ditto the TV. We treat our TV more like a radio now than we do a TV - more than half the time when it's on, no one is actually looking at the screen, whether it's baseball, hockey, morning joe, south park, whatever. We're listening while doing something else. It's nice to plunk down on a comfy couch when you're too tired to be typing and just watch some 'comfort food' like The Big Bang, but when you've got the energy to be doing something else, it can provide an audio background. (And, of course, with our package, it actually also has a few dozen music genre stations as well, so I can be listening to reggae or classic rock or whatever just as easily as Scarborough showing the world how much he's addicted to ill-conceived logical fallacies.
