(340 posts)but I kinda like the randomness of on air TV and channel surfing. I like to chat on occasion with friends/co-workers etc about last nights SHOW A or B. The thing I most like about DVR is pausing for 10-15mins and then fast forward through the commercials as they drive me insane. I hate the marathon DVR catch ups that my Lady puts me through but one must.
Online streaming I find rather expensive (NetFlix etc) and there tends to be nothing that captures me and I spend 30mins trying to decide and then give up.
Excuse the OT: Being a Brit I don't know much about Joe although caught a few mins of his shows but I do like MSNBC and my other options are CNN and Fcuks News .. I have no clue which News Channels are local except Fcuk News 8 (Cleveland) and I avoid all Faux New channels as I scream profanity at the TV.
Long live free to air TV (I don't subscribe to Cable nor Sat in UK and stick with FreeView and FreeSat which has ample channels although I must pay ~$200 per annum for the BBC Licence Fee ... another subject for another time!)
