(3,891 posts)The awesome cop you highlighted who was buying eggs. Has he ever written a report in which he says he saw a fellow officer threaten, intimidate, abuse, brutalize, or perhaps even use excessive force by killing him? This great officer you were highlighting, how many times has he written a report about another officer doing something wrong?
I only ask, because whenever we find one bad cop, there has been a long history of other writing reports to cover the bad one. So how "good" can the others be if they are writing reports to cover the "bad" actions of their fellow officers?
For example, here is a story about five cops, from two different departments, who were caught lying in court about it. Now, did those good cops get together and work out their story? Or did they just go with the routine lies?
Here's a news story.

So were they the only bad cops on the department? Or did they all agree beforehand, a secret society of bad cops who just know the secret handshake?
I'm glad I'm the problem according to you. I'm glad that I'm educated about what is really going on in the streets. I'm thrilled that I am aware of the routine lies regularly told by police to justify their illegal and immoral behavior. I'm overjoyed that I am the problem because I expect them to follow the rules and get this, tell the truth.
I'm proud that I'm part of the problem according to you. Now, if I'm part of the problem because I expect the cops to obey the law, and tell the truth, what does that make you?
