the Omnibus funds the government till next September, so yes they will do what they can to screw things up during the next two years, but they can't change the funding in this bill until it's time for a new one. That at least helps fund things democrats want in the next year. If they get to write a new Omnibus after the first of the year, then we are really going to be screwed with no funding for a lot of things that are now funded in the one up for a vote. You can take a bad bill like the one on the floor, or you can get a far, far worse bill by letting republicans write the whole thing next year. That's the difference.
