(44,024 posts)39. There was an episode on Law & Order like that, except the judge was nicer. Actor Ned Beatty
played the part. While behind the bench, the judge's trusty court reporter knew to que him his lines when he forgot, messed up. The Pros team finally realized it after a few noticeable case blunders. It was sad, the main City Pros discreetly took the judge to lunch and brought up stepping down. Beatty said, 'and do what? my wife is dead & my only child is an alcoholic'.
