favorite of mine before the character he plays under his own name existed. To be honest what surprised me then and makes me think he'll do well in the future is the fact that the character Colbert was able to function that long and that well. The fist week I said 'this will go cold in less than a year unless Stephen is a full tilt comic genius'. He lasted years. Comic genius.
I really think this is the unleashing of a talent held back by the very construct that put him on top.
