I've never asked, but would I be correct in guessing that your screen name means you're a fan of the Dan?

In any case, you are very right about my wife, even though she is facing her own set of difficulties, also including very bad diabetes. Once I'm back home, she has agreed that we'll be be back on a regimen of 100% low-calorie plant-based cooking. I'm going to need that just to recover from the institutional slop I'm stuck with eating here!! It's kinda like low-quality fast food, just in some godforsaken insidious way...worse!

And as I said, I'm only going to beg for help on this site -- or any type of e-begging anywhere -- if we just can't get certain important things we MUST have, like a comfortable larger bed or perhaps a large, sturdy recliner chair for me to sit in rather than my wheelchair or powerchair all the time -- and there is no other way to get them. We'll be trying to hold on to money, and checking with people who may know people, as much as possible until then.

Should all else fail, I will certainly post here.
