1. Daniel Craig is my favorite so far, saw the first one when I was still in high school.

Loved Sean Connery, liked Roger Moore but thought he was perhaps too funny, meh on Pierce Brosnan, thought Lazenby and Dalton were grievous mistakes.
I have, ahem, watched Luther quite a few times, and think Idris Elba would likely be fantastic, he has an intelligent and ruthless edge to him, but do not want to give up Daniel Craig quite yet!
