My friend's elderly aunt was ill (nothing even close to what you're going through) and they delivered a hospital bed to her house. Maybe you can contact disability rights advocates, outside of the hospital, and get a damn bed.
Here's a tip about avoiding a pressure sore: My dog had back surgery and was unable to walk for some time. She came from the hospital with a pressure sore (pissed me off). The instructions were to use that silver cream (great stuff!) and keep the wound uncovered and exposed to the air. Her sore was on her hip so in order to keep that hip bone free of any pressure, I cut a strip of that that mattress egg crate foam and wrapped it around her waist, like a big belt. When she was lying down, the foam kept her hip slightly elevated, yet it was comfortable because it was soft. Perhaps you could do that with your leg and then even when you roll over, the foam has your leg encased all around.
