(28,762 posts)you, there are bad truck drivers too. But most times when a truck driver blows his horns, it's to warn you. I had a guy on rt 31 four lane road in Michigan at a traffic light that was green who came to a complete stop. I wasn't expecting that to happen and I was pulling 80,000 pounds of steel. I slammed on my brakes and they were smoking, but I kept moving forward. So I let the air horns blow. He turned around and looked out the rear window and I could see the fright in his face. He smashed his gas pedal down and went through the intersection, thus avoided me running over him. When I got to the intersection I saw what he stopped for. There was an ambulance about a 1/2 block away coming towards the intersection. I was driving the posted speed limit 50 mph, but I wasn't looking for the unexpected. My fault if I would have hit him, just thankful he took off.
