(1,428 posts)46. I'm calling BS on this idea that Republicans would not show up.
There's no shortage of barking mad, poo flinging, Republicans willing to show up to promote any wild eyed conspiracy theory the voices in their head have commanded them to repeat. They'd be happy to appear week after week to babble their opinions on illegitimate rape, FEMA camps, death panels, Mexicans with calves the size of cantaloupes, vaginal wanding, rectal feeding, you name it. All MTP needs to is say is "Senator X couldn't make it today so representing the Republican position for twelve weeks straight are Congresspersons Gohmert, Bachman, and King" (doesn't matter which one).
Chuck's only concern is he'll lose access to the rich and powerful, DC, cocktail party circuit Republicans.
