50. This is the inevitable result of the fall of Right Wing "Think" Tanks after Newt....

There was a time when they crafted language to try to sell unpopular ideas to Liberals.

Newt came out with his "word list" and won control of Congress using negative campaigns and now all those "Think" Tanks spend the whole of their efforts attacking the very people they were trying to court.

Fast forward and you have Republicans now believing all of their own spin and a new generation RAISED on lies. Further, they have become a cult firmly convinced of their version of reality and they actually have deluded themselves into the belief that their FAITH can mold reality by the sheer power of their awesome and superior will.

Keep in mind that American Conservatives once had dreams of going global. Maggie in the UK was only one example. Now they spend their entire effort trying to keep themselves convinced and they're losing influence as their last remaining demographic ages and dies off. Long gone are the days of the ambitious "dynamic young man" who proudly called themselves "dittoheads".
