255. Apparently, during the Reagan buildup of a Six Hundred Ship Navy, at a time when the USCG was

engaging in drug interdiction law enforcement actions with the USN, this guy couldn't manage to get promoted to j.g. in three years' time...

Anyone who knows anything about promotion flow knows full well that something stinks on ice right there.

Anyone who knows anything about promotion flow knows how long it takes to make 0-4, too (big hint--it's a lot faster than this guy's supposed career path). Further, this story doesn't take into consideration "up or out" constraints that have been part and parcel of uniformed life for, well, pretty much forever.

This is some kind of horrible, unfunny joke, or the product of a fevered and narcissistic imagination. This did not happen, and I think the whole charade of this thread has gone on for far too long--I'd urge people to withdraw their "recs" for this piece of junk, because that's what it is--absolute junk. To put it kindly.
