282. I think it's not unreasonable to wonder if the purpose of misrepresentation might be

nefarious in nature, along the lines of "Look at those fools over at DU, see how I can tell them a story spun from whole cloth, and see how GULLIBLE they are!"

It's not like we've never seen anyone pull that kind of stunt here before, after all.

No one needs to make up a fake story to let me know that what "Officer" (I won't use the title I think he deserves) Wilson did was wrong. And inventing a clearly fake, easily refuted tale cheapens the REAL story, which is, simply, that a teenaged young man, unarmed, was shot multiple times, unnecessarily, on his street, surrounded by his neighbors, and his corpse was left on display for HOURS while his blood ran down the middle of the road.

That's more than enough horror for me. I don't need fake stories about phony three-year ensigns with CO's who have "killed twice" shooting "persons of color" on the "high seas" to drive home a point that Wilson's conduct was reprehensible and he should have been called to account for it.

This OP doesn't pass even a rudimentary smell test. Anyone with any time in any of the sea services knows this.
