2. I got into a heated argument with a woman I know several years ago...

...about how Obama wasted our tax money by bailing out the big banks. I tried explaining to her the dates and players following the crash of '08, even naming Treas Sec Paulsen and others, but she just looked me in the eye and said "I think you're wrong, Obama did it", like I was some kind of dumbass.

Where do I go from there? I just gave up & walked away.

Another friend lost his job during the crash in late September of 2008. He blamed Obama for "costing him the best job he ever had". I asked how that was possible when he wasn't even elected at the time, and he explained that his employer let him go "because he was afraid Obama would get elected in November". The lunacy continued when he cashed in on the stimulus the next summer with free schooling that landed him an even better job. He still hates this president for trying to ruin his life and doing nothing to help.

So you're right, there's no stopping the hatred and Fox News generated ignorance.
