Is Huckabee Running to Help Bush Win? Almost Certainly, IMHO. He's Angling for the VP Slot [View all]

My reasoning:

1. Huckabee works for Fox News. This can be taken as proof that, despite paying lip service to 'principles' and ideology...HE CAN BE BOUGHT by plutocrats, and is more than willing to be used as a propaganda machine in exchange for money. (My guess is Ailes and Rupert ORDERED him to resign from the network, run for the nomination, and if he loses he can have his job back at a higher salary. So, he's got nothing to lose.)

2. He would effectively split the Social Conservative vote three ways between himself, Santorum and Cruz during the primaries; thus guaranteeing that the only well moneyed 'moderate' in the race (Bush) will not be taken down by a single 'values voter' candidate who isn't capable of winning the general election.

My guess is that Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch, in consultation with JEB Bush ordered Huckabee to resign and run, specifically to nullify the values voter vote by splitting it. If Bush gets the nomination, he will then choose Huckabee as his VP candidate to appease the values voter block.

The proof of this little arrangement will be to see if Christie (or Romney) run as well, thus splitting the "moderate" Country Club Republican voting block, and Huckabee goes after Christie three times harder than he goes after Bush. That would be the proof that Huckabee is a paid, establishment GOP spoiler, designed to nullify the social conservative vote to guarantee that Bush gets the nomination.
