I saw a thread the other day that said the corporations had captured the regulatory agencies meant to keep the corporations from devastating the environment so the proposed solution was to affect an ancient legal theory that the government holds the earth, sky and water in trust.

Apparently the solution to the fox watching the henhouse is to put more hens in the henhouse.

I made note of the seeming disconnect between intention and potential result but no reassurance was forthcoming.
