In reply to the discussion: Norwegian student risks 35 years in jail in the US - made a wrong turn [View all]Lars77
(3,032 posts)Apprently tempers were quite high in the courtroom sometimes.
When Larsgard said he would have calmed down if Mendoza had talked to him in a normal way instead of punching him in the face, breaking his nose, Mendoza got up and left to courtroom, FLIPPING HIM OFF as he walked out.
One of the witnesses also claimed that Larsgard had screamed that he would kill everyone after he had his nose broken, when Larsgard denied it another witness left the courtroom angry.
This guy has been in trouble before, apparently he was evicted from the university because he was deemed a threat to his fellow students and faculty members. So he might have some anger issues.
The case still remains though - he will be in jail for 7,5 years in a case where no-one were injured except that he ran over the toe of a woman who was in the group surrounding his car.
I bet they will start with the lawsuits now, poor bastard.
