My wife asked me about "chemtrails" today. [View all]

Several people on FB (of course) have posted about them recently. She'd never heard of the conspiracy theory...it's just jet contrails, right? We've seen those our entire lives, why is it suddenly a big deal. I had a pretty simply answer:

The internet. When planes used to fly overhead before, no one went running to Facebook to post some whack-a-doodle theory about mind control. We just looked at the planes.
