I mean, an ethical journalist would admit error, apologize for any confusion, and resolve to do better in the future. So we shouldn't be surprised that Mr. Doocy had no idea of what he ought to do in this situation. Might as well expect an orangutan to know which fork to use at a formal dinner party. For some reason, though, I would expect the orangutan to be better company.
