(62,325 posts)the person's desire not to have them visible. Being that you have an excellent memory, why would have wanted to save them? So naturally I assumed you had changed your mind about a person's right to delete their own posts in order not to have them visible to the forum in general. Saving other people's posts seems a bit creepy to me, frankly. What would be the purpose of that other than to use them against the person you are disagreeing with.
Of course I remember, I imagine, being that there was so much deleted, it was a rather memorable DU event.
Yes, some things do stick in the collective memory of a forum like this. But as I said, if someone feels the need to delete their posts, I agree, can't see any reason for others to try to thwart that as you stated you wish you had done.
