(57,769 posts)Certainly that poll of income done a while back would suggest otherwise. Also if you look at what they talk about, most of it is about which politician is or should be in power and what they think of political appointments. It seems a lot more about contests among political elites than class issues. I think class is merely a way to divert from discussions of race, not their fundamental concern. For poor people, it makes a good bit of difference if a Republican or Democrat is in office, but some here insist there is no such difference. One even celebrated the defeat of a Democratic Senator in an OP, in a state with one of the highest poverty rates in the nation. I think the sense of self-entitlement some express would not be possible if they had grown up poor in America.
