A Texas congressman known for making inflammatory statements compared President Obama to Adolf Hitler on Twitter.

Rep. Randy Weber, a conservative who represents a district based in Galveston, sent the tweet Monday night amid criticism that Obama did not attend an anti-terrorism march in Paris.

Weber’s tweet: “Even Adolph Hitler thought it more important than Obama to get to Paris. (For all the wrong reasons.) Obama couldn’t do it for the right reasons.”

Hitler visited Paris in 1940 after Nazi troops invaded and occupied France.
