the drug of choice seems to rotate from alcohol, to pot, to crack, to meth, to hand sanitizer, to paint, to choking etc... There is no indication kids today have magically invented the idea of it's fun to get high and that they are indestructible and the consequence of taking drugs won't catch up with them. The world is so bad is just one of many excuses why them getting high is ok. There are a ton of excuses why people convince themselves it is just great to do these things. Even the happy silver spooned people take shit loads of drugs and seem to have always done so.
