He COULD always say, "gee, I asked that the balls be on the LOW side of acceptable. I didn't know they were
DRASTICALLY underinflated. I'm just a quarterback. Pressure gauges aren't part of my uniform."
Bada boom, bada bing, reasonable doubt.
