I was responding to the fact that I - and possibly others - think the "news" emitting from the likes of CNN is really sad in that they will go nonstop in "reporting" on a plane crash or missing plane as the cases we saw in the past year but at this point, if there was something important taking place, like a bomb scare right outside their window, they'd probably miss it because the story of the day is footballgate which is a big pile of distraction to begin with. Based on the question, "which is more newsworthy, a bomb scare in their proximity or some BS football story that has gone long past its shelf life?"

Was the bomb scare a hoax? I haven't heard any followup as of this moment so...

The sarcasm thingy was for those who didn't get the snark.

Of course a plane crash is important and so is a bomb scare. Football is entertainment that gets far too much coverage in my estimation.
