If you control the megaphone, you can spin anything to your advantage.
Ironically, I think we're fortunate in the fact that Palin frightens the Powers That Be. They need a candidate that they can be sure will do their bidding. (An ideal one would appear to be liberal but would in fact be a Wall Street water-carrier.) Palin's behavior is too erratic. They won't let her near the White House, but they'll be happy to let her play the role of distractor, while they continue pillaging the economy and the planet.
