But unfortunately many folks need it. Especially the mushy middle, the undecided, the moderates, the fence sitters. It also doesn't hurt to see Obama show that he really believes in something, to show some passion about an issue. I remember that presser after Congress voted down the background check bill. Obama was passionate, angry, and sent a powerful message....unfortunately it was AFTER the bill was defeated.

The GOP should be thinking about their own "backup" plan and not worry about Obama.
