told to demand Muslim constituents pledge allegiance to, obviously in a deliberate effort to offend Muslim constituents who were merely seeking to exercise their right to petition their representative. Perhaps she could have also had her staff require Muslim visitors to eat a ham sandwich and drink a beer before being allowed to speak with her or one of her staff, since her only intention seems to have been to insult her Muslim constituents and to question their loyalty.

She seems not to understand that the First Amendment *forbids* government officials from denying American citizens' their rights simply because they practice a specific religion.
