were most def not draconian. I meant the forest rangers never told us feeding them could kill them, just that it wasn't good for them.

The last time my wife and I were at Kenneth Hahn (a couple weeks ago), we noticed a sign posted on a tree saying "Don't feed the ducks." Problem is the sign was posted on a tree in a part of the path around the multi-level lake where there are no ducks (and no kids with bread feeding them). Even so, it was good to see the sign up now.

Agree with you that they are very sweet creatures. And a set of baby ducklings swimming in single file behind their mother -- we seem to get one set per year -- doesn't get much cuter than that!
