5. This makes me glad I turned down an invitation to live in Massachussetts

The cost was the main reason, but avoiding the apparent dickishness of the people there was lagniappe.

Of all the years lived in Colorado, during all those snowy winters, I cannot recall a time when someone whipped out a gun over a shoveled parking spot.
