But speaking of bitter, what drives me batty is people who deploy SPORTS IS JUST SO STUPID AND IGNORANT AND POVERTY AND WAR YOU GUYS talking points on the day of a big game. Some of us have devoted our lives to improving the country and the world as best we can, and some of us enjoy sports as a necessary diversion to keep from being emotionally eviscerated by the work. When these ZOMG PEOPLE WHO WATCH SPORTS ARE DISTRACTED DUPES posts show up - and they do, every time - it's personally insulting.
I'm not bitter. I'm annoyed at you. Deploy your coping skills, the way I do when I get called dumb for taking three hours away from working for the things you believe in to enjoy myself.
