Isn't California's Largest Utility Being Staffed By Foreigners A Massive Security Risk? [View all]

"SCE, Southern California's largest utility, has confirmed the layoffs and the hiring of Infosys, based in Bangalore, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Mumbai. They are two of the largest users of H-1B visas."

How can California allow foreigners to staff it's largest utility?

99.9% of the time I am supportive of having people emigrate to the USA. But positioning a significant number of workers who are only here on visas, with no citizenship at the largest utility in a large state like California seems almost like asking for trouble.

Even if the utility is privately owned… the state needs to make it illegal to hire foreigners to work jobs that are a security risk.

FFS, it would only take one mole in a public utility to screw the entire state and possibly an entire coast of the country. Utility problems can have a domino effect.

Or am I just being ridiculous and xenophobic? If I am then never mind this thread, please.
