(17,997 posts)113. Same with my grandmother
She never got over losing her two sons and a daughter. In fact, it saved my mother's life. My aunt Julia died at 6 months in my grandmother's arms. So when my mom (when an infant) had whooping cough and started to turn blue as my grandmother held her, my grandmother kind of flipped and screamed she wasn't going to have another baby die in her arms. As she did that, she threw my mom across the room. Luckily, right into my uncle, who caught her. The force of that caused my mom to start breathing again.
Sorry so off track.
Cissy is there now. I cannot fathom how hard this is on her. Too much. Just too much heartache.
I'm sorry for your losses.

Tragedy compounded. I will refrain from any retrospective blame-game & just bemoan the tragic loss

I hope at least they donate the organs. Let something good come of this sad event.

It is such a tragedy, she missed her mom so much. I thought at first they got to her in time.

So sad, the MSM reported only that she had been taken to the hospital, so I thought it was
