This last year has been a very hard year. Actually, it seems the last 5 years have been very hard. Too much death in my life. My nephew, my grandmother, my father in law, mother in law, good friends, most recently my friend Barbara. http://www.democraticunderground.com/10026193937

I've met other people here at DU that have been have also been wonderful friends to me. Behind the Aegis, RiffRandell, OKNancy, LadyHawkAZ, SissyK, Violet Crumble (who I bumped heads with at first) and so many more.

I've had the privilege of serving on MIRT with great people as well hosting groups.

So thanks to the admin for this place. A place where we fight, cry, laugh, much like a family. We can fling the mashed taters at each other, but no one else can. If we're lucky, we make friends that extend beyond the 'walls' of DU, I've been lucky in that respect. I'm sure others have too.

I'm not a prolific writer or anything, just wanted to say thanks to everyone. Tonight I will tip my wine glass to DU.
