I am not a fan of Mike Huckabee, but he is not a Catholic. I far as I know it is only Catholic priests and nuns who take a vow of poverty. In addition, I believe the idea of what is called "the gospel of prosperity" is promoted by people in the evangelical movement.
I am not a religious scholar, but I believe most Catholics are okay with church members being wealthy, but asks that many priests and nuns live modestly. However, the evangelical movement promotes lavish living for both its church goers and the church leaders.

It is true most don't take such a vow, but Matthew 6:24 is not ambiguous on the subject
