4. I believe it and folks here know I am not a fan

Putin has trodden on well known nationalistic ground, a war of conquest and scapegoating a vulnerable minority. Both things were, transparently to me and a lot of folks, designed to appeal to nationalism in the Russian people.

We know this works. It's just despicable to do it.
