(5,744 posts)Look, I'm not saying you and me or any other men look to a woman ONLY as someone we can have sex with. That would be ludicrous. Of course we're looking for much more: we look for love, for companionship, for friendship, for intellectual stimulation etc. That's what we want from our partner in a relationship, right?
Okay, so all I'm saying is that, beneath all that, what drives us, biologically speaking, is still our primal instincts. We don't recognize them anymore, we don't acknowledge them as such anymore, but they're still there. When you find a woman attractive, beneath those layers and interests I mentioned above, the primal motivation is still... sex. Whether we want to admit that or not. But it's simple science. We just try to deny it because we're supposed to be more evolved now. But just because we care about a woman in much more different ways than just as someone to have sex with... deep down that's still how we're evolutionary wired; we're wired to mate and produce offspring.
