But this is where it starts. I had the "opportunity" to live in rural northern Texas for a couple years and beating religion into people was a time honored tradition. Having someone land in the hospital because some gang of guys in a pick-up truck tried to beat the devil out to let the lord in - it wasn't weekly but it was more than one a month.
I'm sure Ms. Haragan is pleased with the conversion she achieved and knows in her heart that her god will reward her in the afterlife for actions taken on his behalf - even if they are considered wrong by unbelievers. Sound familiar ????
Apologies to DU friends in TX - I'm sure it's not just a Texas thing, it's just where I had the experience with it.
