"I have little doubt that in an emergency, the doctor would do everything in her power to treat those children regardless of her belief"

Having worked in the medical field for the last 30 yrs, I have my doubts she "would do everything in her power to treat those children regardless of her beliefs." I have seen too many spouses, partners and parents turned away during and after medical emergencies because they are gay.

This is the same type of discrimination people face when attempting to purchase contraception and the pharmacist refuses to honor the prescription because of their religious beliefs. I would be fired if I walked out of my exam room and said I would not perform an exam on someone for any reason other then the patient feeling more comfortable with someone of the same gender performing their exam.

The insurance company should drop her. Cut of her income stream. Let her church support her. They can have all the clinics they want at their church and only treat who they want. I would not want her or any person with her attitude handling any part of my healthcare.
