6. Privatize Profit, Socialize Losses

No issue with the internet being supported with tax dollars for decades of development and early growth. But once someone figured out how to "monetize" it, well...time to turn it over to corporations to reap the profits.

At the same time, when we have business that haven't quite figured out how to live with the consequences of their actions (banks)...we need to socialize their losses via a bailout.

Anyone who doesn't think this is a textbook oligopoly isn't paying attention.
