I think you have to be a bit of a sociopath to be a very successful capitalist.

The republicans are a different matter - many of them would gladly rid their neighborhoods of all non-Christians, etc...

The point being that the very rich - the top 1% - are not always republicans, and many republicans have fewer resources than many of us.

That's where it gets difficult ... if everyone voted their pocketbook we wouldn't have these issues.
