In reply to the discussion: The difference between Hillary Clinton & Bernie Sanders on corporations [View all]think
(11,641 posts)38. Taking money from GS, Citi, and JPMorgan is NOT the same as money from Decent corporations,
other institutions like unions, and individuals.
Some corporations are actually different than banks like GS that were "deceptive & immoral" and were at the heart of the economic collapse in 2007.
And it was Carl Levin, a top Democratic Senator who called GS "deceptive & immoral":
Those are the facts the subcommittee found. Whether the decision by the Department of Justice is the product of weak laws or weak enforcement, Goldman Sachs actions were deceptive and immoral. Thats why I and others fought so hard to include tough new conflict-of-interest provisions in the Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform law, to help ensure that Wall Street could no longer engage in such blatant behavior.

We need laws to protect us from these banks and prosecute the wrong doers.
Please tell me how Hillary after all the money she's gotten from them is going to fight for legislation to better regulate these banks and protect the American people from another economic meltdown. Let alone work to close the loopholes that allow these banks to hide their profits in the Caymans so they don't have to pay taxes on.
Because that is a great concern considering the amounts of money being donated and the ugly history of these banks.

OP
Not a problem for Hillary's supporters, who seem to believe there's no such thing as a quid pro quo.
