This pretty hysterical. When President Obama spoke in Milwaukee earlier this year, the State flag of Wisconsin was displayed behind him. "Oh no, a union flag", screamed the right. "Look, it's Local 1848." Wisconsin became a State in 1848.

Now it's the new Obama campaign motto "Forward". Rachel Maddow reports on the several right-wing attempts to link the word to Marxism, Europe, and other dastardly plots to deprive the wealthy of their inheritances.

Ooops. It's the State Motto of on of our 50 States. Wisconsin, no less. There's even a statue of "Miss Forward" on display at the Wisconsin Historical Society.

I can't wait for the next stage, when the right attempts to change the name of the seven towns in Wisconsin called "Union".
