I can't figure another explanation other than subconscious racism, for not taking their job seriously to protect this most exposed and vulnerable first family. It follows a pattern I think we have all experienced in one way or another: how those first to break the glass ceiling are often not only held to a higher standard, but attacked for challenging the status quo.

My racist tea party neighbor told me that his cousin, who works in the Pentagon, so of course knows, said Pres. Obama isn't liked there either. I suppose some of it Pres. Obama's positions.

What do you suppose most Republicans think of Ben Carson or other far-right African-American politicians? Perhaps the dividing line is more politics, than race. Although race is surely a factor for many.
