9. My wife and I escaped Los Angeles...

... and wouldn't you know it, one of our kids chooses to live there.

In the U.S.A. I'd be choosing between San Francisco and Chicago. But most of my family is here in California. One of my grandma's was born in San Francisco. My immigrant ancestors all skipped the east coast (and proper immigration paperwork too) probably because they were afraid someone would find them.

I'd love to live in Amsterdam or Paris for some time, but only if a had a job that didn't suck and gave me plenty of time to wander, or I'd won a huge fortune in some lottery.

The other cities on your list are places I like to, or would like to, visit.
